How to Become A Discovery Learning Certified Trainer

To become a Discovery Learning Certified trainer you can participate in a public Train the Trainer program at Discovery Learning, or a Certified Trainer can train you on-site.

Certification is not required to purchase Discovery Learning training tools. Our only requirement is that individuals own a Facilitator Guide for the tool they are ordering and have basic facilitation skills. These user-friendly Facilitator Guides contain the information necessary for skilled trainers to adequately use each business assessment and business simulation. Purchase of a Facilitator Guide entitles the owner to updates of related PowerPoint presentations, software and normative data as it becomes available.

Why get certified? Certified trainers leave our sessions with a deeper understanding of each tool for which they are newly certified in and techniques for integrating them with other business assessments and business simulations into training programs. Our goal at Discovery Learning is to be a resource for training tools and solutions for both internal and external consultants and trainers.

To assist clients looking for facilitators certified in our business assessments and business simulations, we have listed individuals meeting the requirements necessary to earn one of three levels of certification described below. The list does not include internal corporate trainers certified to use Discovery Learning, Inc. tools.

Certified Trainers
These trainers have completed Discovery Learning's Train the Trainer course on the tool for which they are certified. Each Train the Trainer course focuses on three areas:

• Research and development
• Analysis and implications
• Usage and applications including program integration

To remain a Certified Trainer, individuals must use the tool for which they are certified at least one time each year and return relevant assessment data to Discovery Learning, Inc. for inclusion in the master database.

Master Trainers
In addition to meeting the requirements of the Certified and Advanced Trainers, Master Trainers have used the tool for which they are certified a minimum of 2 years. In addition, through further sessions with Discovery Learning trainers, Master Trainers are proven to have exceptional knowledge and understanding of the tools and their application. Master Trainers are licensed to provide Train the Trainer sessions and to offer certification through Discovery Learning, Inc.

To remain a Master Trainer, individuals must regularly use the tools for which they are certified and return relevant assessment data to Discovery Learning, Inc. for inclusion in the master database. Once a year they must meet with a Discovery Learning Trainer for Master Trainer re-certification.
